Five For Friday

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the Five For Friday link party!

I dropped these puppies off at my local teacher supply store to be laminated.  I so can't wait to get them back and hung up!

I have started diving into Mindset, and I'm loving it.  There's a Project Zero workshop fairly close by in October, so I thought I'd read the Visible Thinking one in advance of it.  Too many books . . . not enough time!

One of my very favorite pastimes is messing with my kids.  It's so rewarding.  We were sitting in the orthodontist's office a couple of weeks ago, and I randomly texted this to my sixteen-year-old who was sitting right across from me.  Minimal response.

This is what I found when I opened my classroom door a couple of weeks ago.  I'm proud to say that progress has been made!  Check back for a classroom reveal soon.

It's Dollar Tree time.  I blogged about these yesterday.

On another - somewhat unrelated - note, taking pictures on my phone and then importing them on my Mac drives me nuts.  WHERE do they GO?  I might see them in iPhoto, but when I go to upload them into my blog post - they are nowhere to be found.  I think I need a class.  Or an intervention.

Or maybe a little of both.

  1. Making Thinking Visible. I've never heard of it, but think it should be on my list to read, SOON! Good luck on your classroom.

    1. Thanks, Kristen! Our floors got waxed SUPER early this year, so I've been working a little here and there. Last year they were so late getting them done I was having to crawl in my classroom window to get things done. Not fun. Enjoy the rest of your summer!!

  3. The mindsets book is a great one! I'm planning on discussing mindsets with my students next year. I upload the majority of my photos for blog posts right off my phone (I have the free blogger app). I got through photos and favorite the ones I want to use in my blog posts. Then I upload them on the app (I can easily find the ones I want because they're in my favorites). I leave the post in draft form and then add text when I'm on my computer. I used to email each photo to myself and that was cray! Try out the blogger app,
